Caring for the Elderly
One of the best, and most needed, qualities of the Queen City is the way it cares for its elderly citizens. From Senior Citizens’ classes in churches around the county to groups subsidized by local organizations, the older generation is spotlighted and realized as a vital, necessary component of the citizenry here.
However, sometimes they need extra assistance, in the manner of care homes. I remember, years ago, my daddy taught Sunday School at Tipton Brother’s (formerly Providence) Nursing Home near Matthews — and, upon accompanying him there, I saw how important this care can be! They were excellent!
Of course, that was years ago; the challenge today — especially considering the tighter rules and regulations of watchdog agencies — is finding just the right home for your loved one. Obviously, that can take many calls, visits, interviews (both with management and the family member[s] involved) and decisions.
But there’s a wonderful company that can help you make the right decision in choosing the best care for your elderly family member. While it’s actually a company from England and its search engine is set up to serve the British, the people at Better Caring have information on health and financial issues, the advantages of home care compared with residential — even a discussion forum for any questions, advice or remarks you may have. You can also find reviews of products that will help make life easier for your senior citizen, news that applies to issues of the elderly, and much more!
In short, they honestly have the welfare of the elderly at heart, and provide timely information to help you make the best decision for your loved one’s happiness and security!
With today’s baby-boomers becoming older (and they’re the largest segment of today’s population!), it’s vital that we become well-informed about the care and health of our senior citizens. And, whether it’s in England or in Charlotte, N. C., the more useful information we can absorb and use, the better off they’re all going to be! Remember … these people are our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends — and they have years of experience, decades of history — and lifetimes of love — from which we can learn. So why not learn more, from one of the most trusted sites in senior care? Just click on this nursing homes site now!! (Incidentally — and since Charlotte has a number of people who’ve moved here from the UK, and/or have family there – this would be an excellent chance to share the site with others!)
The information you’ll receive is priceless … just like our senior citizens!
