Huckaclintobama
Well, tonight’s gonna “tell the tale” in the Iowa caucuses … a move that, many pundits say, will “set the stage” for the campaigning to come. The scene-stealers, as it stands right now, are a pretty fair guitarist, a very personable African-American, and a woman with determination.
Now, a lot of folks are thinkin’ “This has GOTTA be the year of the Democrats!” Unfortunately, the Present Prez has made that happen … but don’t count out the Elephants, though; the GOP has some heavy-hitters on their side: Mitt Romney, whose drive and motivation has taken the heat off his Mormonism (and, personally, why even bring that up? He’s running for President, not Head Preacher! He knows about the ’separation of Church and State’ as it applies to the Chief Executive’a position!); Rudy Guiliani (if he can stay of that cell phone long enough! Doesn’t his wife know better than call him during speeches?), whose big “claim-to-fame” was his expert handling of 9/11; Fred Thompson, who’s been compared to Ronald Reagan (incidentally: Isn’t it coincidence that his old show, Law & Order, comes back on TV tonight?), and John McCain.
Whoever wins this race (and, for the Dems and the axe-slingin’ former Governor, it’s become so close that it seems we’ll cast our ballots in the new Voters State of Huckaclintobama!) will have to remember they’ve got a VERY big challenge on their plate: bringing peace to the world — and affordable living back to America! They’ll have to overcome many of the obstacles the Bush Administration has created and left for them to deal with. It might take more than the first “100 days” for us to see what the winner’s really worth as Prez, because, for the first part of the term, he (or she) will have a figurative broom in hand to clean up a biiiiiiiig mess!
Whatever the results tonight, I’m hopin’ that Charlotteans will keep a close eye on the results … and make sure their decisions are based, not only on numbers, but on the individual candidate’s sincerity and definitiveness. Only then can we be sure we’ve got the right one in mind when it comes our turn to vote! We don’t want to be left chained outside the “political doghouse” while the big dawgs are barkin’ inside …
SPEAKING OF DOGS (the four-footed kind)
One of the things that Charlotte’s known for nation-wide is its love of dogs (remember the K-9 Cafe in Pineville? Or the many places that pamper pooches with ultimate grooming?). Of course, whether we have a chihuahua or a Great Pyrenees, we want the best goodies to help satisfy our bowwows!
Now, if you wanna get the supplies you need and save a lot of money in the process, you’ll want to check out the dog-gone goods at Jeffers Pet (you’ll see the link to their site at the end of this post)!
