Kitten Around With A Pooped Pup
Somehow, I think the title goes along with the picture, doesn’t it??
Actually, the reason I’m writing this is in the aftershock of what that idiot in York County did on Saturday: he threw a dog and cat out the window of a moving car! I didn’t think anyone would be that stupid and heartless! But … I guess I was wrong …
In and around the Queen City, there are dozens of places you can take a pet if you don’t want (or can’t have. Some apartment complexes, for example, won’t allow certain pets): humane society, animal shelters, and even a few vets will take them in! And what about this?: If you have a pet you don’t want or can’t have, why not provide him/her as a gift to a family or young child who wants, but can’t afford to buy, one? It’s not only a wonderful humanitarian and Christian gesture this season, but (a) it fills a “Christmas want” for a family as well as (b) providing a good and loving home for the pet!
You’ll also be making a few friends in the process. Just make sure you check with the prospective owners to make sure they’ll take the best care of the little animal!
Can you imagine the joy you can provide for a family or child with this? C’mon … think about it … make some circulars up and post them … get the word out … maybe an ad in the Observer and Creative Loafing.
But DON’T be like that heartless monster and just throw them away! Okay?? They’ve got love to share, a warm cuddle, sweet purr or wagging tail, and loyalty beyond belief.
… and somebody out there needs that …
