Temper, TEMPER!!
One of the hardest things for some people to do this season is control their tempers. Whether it’s due to overwork, being away from work, heavy winter school-load, boredom at school, worries about money or whatever, more people are prone to blow their tops at this time of year than at any other given time.
If you’ve been feeling like your nerves are a blackboard and everyone’s a sharp fingernail scraping against it, just remember to “slow it down” a bit; don’t let their problems rattle your cage to the point that you get mad! There are lots of places here in the city where you can go and unwind or let off a little steam — the “Y”, gyms, Freedom Park, etc. Please don’t take it out on your family or friends!!
Thomas Jefferson once said that, if you get angry, count to ten before you do anything. If you’re really mad, count to 100. But Mama had one to cap ‘em all! She said, if you’re really mad, go outside and start counting, backward, from 100. But, whatever you do to unwind without taking it out on the family, do it!
Have a safe and hassle-free Christmas season, okay??
